Christmas holiday in Wales

Christmas Eve

This year we visited Wales for our Christmas holiday, staying with my Mum in her Carmarthenshire farmhouse. On Boxing Day we joined in with the local Ramblers’ annual walk, which at an unusually short two miles was perfect for the children. One fellow rambler even kindly lent him their dog, to help liven up the walk.

Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Boxing Day walk to Dryslwyn Castle, past flooded fields

There was a splendid view of the Towy valley from Dryslwyn Castle. We could see the full extent of the flooding, which often hits this part of the country.

And brrrr – it was very windy! We made it down to the car park without losing any hats, and were greeted by mince pies and sherry.

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and Boxing Day. Love from the Pigeons.
