Welcome to #CulturedKids January 2017, the very first link-up of our brand new year!
Did you have a good holiday? We stayed at home in London – where we managed to catch the final performance of Disney’s Frozen on Ice at the O2 Arena, and watch Home Alone at Backyard Cinema’s Winter Night Garden, which was magical. My favourite, though, was a visit to the new Adventures in Moominland exhibition at the Southbank Centre, which I’ve included as my post for #CulturedKids January. I enjoyed it so much that I went twice.
Thanks to everyone who linked up last month. It really brightened up the dark evenings, having some nice culture-related posts to dive into. My favourites were:
A review of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, in London’s West End, by Boo Roo and Tigger Too. The show ends tomorrow and I’m gutted I didn’t get round to seeing it.
In Search Of‘s post about Budapest’s historic Christmas markets. If you’re anything like me, reading about Christmas markets takes on a poignancy following December’s tragic events in Berlin.
If you’re spending January planning some travel, why not check out this wonderful post by My Travel Monkey on 18 Unmissable European Museums to Visit With Kids? I’m going to be using it as a handbook when I’m deciding where to go next.
So now, it’s over to you. Have you been to any museums, galleries or historic places? Seen any shows, festive or otherwise? Please do link up below, and grab the #CulturedKids badge or link back. If you share images on Instagram, don’t forget to use #CulturedKids – and if you’d like an invitation to pin to the #CulturedKids Pinterest Board, let me know (I’ll be pinning all your posts there anyway).
Have a happy January, everyone.
