#CulturedKids September 2017

And so, the summer ends, and we move seamlessly into September. It might not quite be time yet to bid goodbye to long, sunshine-filled days (please! Let it not be time yet….), but the theatres are releasing their winter listings, nicely timed to fit in with the Autumn/Winter back-to-schoolwear flurry.

Has your summer been long enough?

We spent ours in the rural idylls of Wales and south-west Scotland. Kidwelly Castle and a Galloway arts centre  boosted our itinerary of culture-themed trips. I’m also just back from a solo trip to Oslo, to visit friends. Most of the weekend was spent catching up, but I did take the opportunity the Munch Museum, which is hosting an exhibition of the artist’s lesser-known works, Towards the Forest. The celebrated Norwegian author, Karl Ove Knausgård, curated the show, and it proves there really is more to Edvard Munch than The Scream.

While I was in Scotland, I enjoyed reading all your posts from last month. Here are my favourites:

What have you been up to this month? Have you visited any museums, galleries, historic places or theatre shows? Please do link up your posts in the September linky below. I’m looking forward to sitting down to read them, with a nice cup of tea (or a wine if I’m feeling cheeky). We’ll be looking out for images shared on Instagram using #CulturedKids – and if you’d like an invitation to pin to the #CulturedKids Pinterest Board, let us know (we’ll be pinning all your posts there anyway).

Here’s how it works:
